When you first meet a new man and he's pursuing, you as a woman may feel on top of the world. He is excited to talk to you on the phone and may take you out on several dates.

But then when the phone hasn't rung and it's been at least week since the time you two last saw each other, you feel something might be going on. Many thoughts race through your mind. Is he at home sick? Is he busy at work? Has he left the country? Has been held-up at gun point and robbed of his cell phone?

But the most likely thought to occur is..."Has he lost interest?"

No the phone is still working, he's just not calling you. Men aren't usually ones to gab all night on the phone. They are very action-oriented. Either way, you are still on his mind. If he starts to call less, be aware something is up.
He is spending more and more time away from you. If every night you man is working late or out with his buddies when he could be spending time with you, he might be losing interest. In long-term committed relationships, it can be expected that he will want to spend time with people other than you. Both of you need to have your own sets of friends and interests. But not taking each other for granted means spending quality time with the one you love most.
He starts fights with you over nothing or seems overly critical. The way you used to bit your lip before making a decision is now driving him mad. He mentions that you could stand to lose a few pounds where he once said it was your best feature. When a guy starts being less complimentary about your looks or argues over issues that are not important, you should prepare for a breakup. Often a guy will start arguing more so that you will break up with him first. That way he doesn't get to be the bad guy.
